Important decision for public passenger transport
The Administrative Court, in its decision today, upheld the decision of the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works to award the contract of the tender for the provision of long-distance public passenger transport services to the successful economic operator.
The Court, agreeing with the position of the Legal Service, rejected all the grounds put forward by the Applicants and held, inter alia, that the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works had, in the interests of the procedure, applied a uniform and fair method of assessing the economic operators concerned and that there had been no error or lack of investigation or reasoning.
The case was handled on behalf of the Attorney General of the Republic by Ms Rena Papaeti Hadjikosta, Attorney General of the Republic and Ms Stefania Hadjistefanou, Attorney at Law of the Republic.
