The Fire Department from 6:00 a.m. Friday, November 24, until 6:00 a.m. Monday, November 27, responded to 115 calls for assistance, 58 fires and 57 special services, of which 20 were related to severe weather.
From 6:00 a.m. on Sunday, November 26, through 6:00 a.m. on Monday, November 27, the Fire Department responded to 48 calls for assistance, 17 fires and 31 special services of which 20 were related to severe weather.
Severe weather was mainly related to high winds. They caused falling trees, movement of debris and water tanks. There were fires caused by sparks on electric cables with five cases in Nicosia District, two in Limassol District, four in Larnaca District, seven in Paphos District and two in Famagusta District. There were no reports of any injuries.
