The Fire Service from 06:00 on 10 March 2022 until now, responded to 22 calls for assistance, three fires and 18 special services, of which 15 were related to natural disasters and one was a false call.
The 15 calls to which the Fire Department responded were related to severe weather mainly due to high winds in various areas. Specifically, there were two cases in Nicosia District, ten in Limassol District and three in Paphos District.
The calls were related to falling and moving of trees from public or other places, moving of trees from power lines, from parked vehicles without occupants, as well as the movement of structures made of low-grade materials, which were carried away.
