[PIO] The Academy of the Legal Service of the Republic of Cyprus organizes a training workshop on Administrative Law

An educational workshop on Administrative Law is organized by the Legal Service Academy in cooperation with the Administrative Law Appeals Subsection of the Legal Service, on Monday, January 29, 2024, from 10 a.m. to 3:00 p.m,

Invited speakers will be the Greek law professors Mr. Vassilis G. Tzemos, Dimitrios Stranis, Dimitrios Pyrgakis and Dionysios Filippou, who will elaborate on the topics:

[1] The principle of legality, the principle of good administration and the principle of proportionality in applied Administrative Law

[2] General administrative appeals and administrative appeals in Greek Administrative Law

[3] Legal interest in administrative proceedings and especially in environmental law in Greece, and

(4) The compliance of the Administration with the annulment decisions of the administrative courts in Greece

The Attorney General of the Republic, Mr. George Savvidis.

In addition to the officials of the Legal Service, the President and members of the Supreme Constitutional Court, judges, the President and members of the Public Service Commission, academics and lawyers, among others, have been invited to attend the conference.

The workshop is part of the "Lifelong Education" pillar of the Legal Service Academy and will be streamed live, for those who wish to attend, on the Legal Service's YouTube channel @LawOfficeCy.
