The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI) and the International Renewable Energy Resources Agency (IRENA), are co-organising the 7th International Conference on Renewable Energy Sources and Energy Efficiency (RESEE2023) on 12-14 October 2023, in Nicosia.
The conference, held under the auspices of the President of the Republic of Cyprus, Mr. It will take place at the Hilton Hotel and will be attended by more than 150 guests from various countries and organisations, including academic and research institutions, business organisations and public authorities active in the fields of Renewable Energy Sources (RES) and Energy Efficiency.
President Christodoulides will address the delegates during the last thematic session on Friday afternoon, 13 October 2023, while the Director General of IRENA, Mr. Francesco La Camera, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr. Giorgos Papanastasiou and the President of KEBE, Mr. Christodoulos Agastiniotis, will also address RESEE2023.
The topics to be covered at the conference, including through speeches by internationally renowned scientists and selected papers, concern, but are not limited to, Renewable Energy Technologies, the long-term energy planning of Cyprus based on the National Plan for Energy and Climate, energy storage, green hydrogen, geothermal energy for heating and cooling, island and regional cooperation, island tourism, digitalisation and blockchain technology, energy security, electromobility and smart charging for electric vehicles, energy communities and active consumers, energy efficiency, green buildings, rural electrification, energy markets, desalination solutions for islands, etc.
