The 3rd session of the Cyprus-Serbia Cooperation Council is being held today in Belgrade, led by the Presidents and with the participation of Ministers of the two Governments, in the framework of the first official visit of the President of the Republic Mr. Nikos Christodoulides to Serbia.

From the Cypriot side, the Minister of Foreign Affairs Mr. Constantinos Kombos, the Minister of Defence Mr. Michalis Giorgallas, the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth Ms. Athena Michaelides, the Government Spokesman Mr. Constantinos Letibiotis, the Deputy Director of the Diplomatic Office of the President Mr. Doros Venezis and officials will participate in the meeting.

Before the start of the Summit, the Cypriot Ministers will hold bilateral meetings with their Serbian counterparts at the Serbian Palace.

After the conclusion of the bilateral meetings of the Ministers, the Cooperation Summit will be chaired by the President of the Republic of Cyprus and the President of the Republic of Serbia.

Within the framework of the Summit, Memoranda of Understanding will be signed between the two countries in the fields of Education, Science, Innovation and Advanced Technologies, as well as Cooperation between the Diplomatic Academies of the two countries.

The meeting will be followed by a working lunch hosted by Serbian Prime Minister Ana Brnabić in honour of the President of the Republic of Cyprus and his accompanying delegation.

Early this morning, the President of the Republic will visit a company of Cypriot interests operating in Belgrade, accompanied by the Serbian Minister of Trade, followed by a meeting with Serbian Patriarch Porphyry at the Patriarchate.
