[PIO] Support of the Minister of Justice and the Chief of Police to the Communities of East Limassol to tackle crime

The fight against crime and the strengthening of the Moni Police Station were discussed at a meeting between the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mrs.

Mr Spyrou, representing the 12 Communities of East Limassol, first expressed his thanks to the Cyprus Police for their immediate and effective intervention whenever and wherever needed. He then conveyed the concerns and issues faced by both the Community Councils and the residents of these areas.

The Minister and the Chief of Police assured that the State's intention is to provide practical support to communities facing problems. At the same time, it was agreed to strengthen cooperation between the Police and the Local Government of the communities in order to achieve a more effective response to issues of common concern.

Finally, the Minister thanked Mr. Spirou for the excellent cooperation and constructive dialogue.
