The Department of Agriculture, Ministry of Agriculture, Rural Development and Environment informs the owners or managers of holdings with tree crops, vines and/or seasonal crops that for risk management purposes it is necessary to submit a Crop Declaration for the following types of crops/cases:
(A) Pomegranates, Lotus, kiwifruit
(B) Walnuts
(C) Olives
(D) Deciduous trees and vines
(E) Perennial flowering plants
(F) Permanent flowering plants which are not included in the CMO's SSC
(G) Seasonal crops including seasonal flowering plants
(H) Increased yield with increased contribution
(H) Increased yield with increased contribution: Relates to deciduous, citrus, olives, avocado, mango, pomegranates and vines
(I) Cases where a crop declared to the CMO contains a crop category whose contribution is higher than that declared to the CMO.
The last dates for submitting a crop declaration are the following:
Pomegranates, Lotus, Kiwi: 15 March 2022
Walnuts: 15 March 2022
Olives: 15 March 2022
Deciduous: 15 March 2022
Vines: 15 March 2022
Avocado, mango: 31 May 2022
Citrus: 15 June 2022
Permanent flowering plants that are not included in the CMOA's SSC: 15 March 2022.
Seasonal crops including seasonal flowering plants up to 21 days from planting.
In addition, tree crop growers who do not apply themselves to the Extensive Payment Plan for the specific parcels, and in order to be eligible for damage payments, must submit a Crop Declaration within the above timelines.
