The Office of the Commissioner for Electronic Communications Regulation (BEREC) informs that it has published Statistics on the Electronic Communications Market with data up to June 2023 for:
[*]Fixed telephony and fixed broadband access. [*]Mobile telephony and mobile broadband access.
The number of fixed broadband access subscribers in the first half of 2023 increased by 2,557 subscribers or 0.7% compared to 2022, while there was a rapid increase in the proportion of subscriptions with speeds ≥100Mbps, which now account for 63.7% of subscriptions. Total data volume in Q2 2023 was 0.92 TB, with total data volume for the first half of 2023 showing a 19% increase compared to the second half of 2022.
In mobile telephony, according to data for the first half of 2023, there was an increase of 23.370 in the total number of mobile users compared to the second half of 2022.

Plans with unlimited data, calls (voice) and text messages (sms) account for 50.02% of contract subscriptions and for the first time are more than those without unlimited data, calls and text messages. Total data volume for the first half of 2023 shows an increase of 56.5% compared to the second half of 2022.
Finally, in total mobile and fixed broadband data volumes for the first time in 2023, the percentage of mobile broadband data is in double digits, at 10.57% in the first quarter and 11.53% in the second quarter, with the corresponding percentages for fixed broadband data at 89.43% and 88.47%. This change is mainly due to the increase in mobile contracts with unlimited data
