"The intention of the Ministry of Health is to resolve in an efficient way the issues concerning the provision of appropriate services to patients with hepatological problems."
This was stated by the Minister of Health Mr. Michael Damianos, in response to a journalist's question, after the end of the press conference on the occasion of the International Day against Human Papilloma Virus - HPV.
"For some time now, steps have been taken in this direction," he noted, stressing that a conclusion will be reached within the next few weeks. He said that when the solution is finalized, announcements will be made.
Asked to comment on the issue concerning the operation of the Athienou Health Center, he noted that last Friday he had a meeting with the Mayor of Athienou, during which the demands of the residents of the area were analyzed. OKYPY should look at the issue, he added, and provide solutions where needed.
