I attended today part of the process of health examination and distribution of clothing and materials to the 2024 ESSO conscripts, which started on Monday, 20 May 2024, and will continue next week at the Camp where we are located, as well as at the Larnaca, Limassol and Paphos CECs.

As the Ministry of Defence we have taken all the necessary steps and we are ready to welcome this year's Recruitable Soldier Training Series (ESSO) to the National Guard (NF).

I am pleased to say that so far the process is progressing smoothly and without any problems.

Of course, the successful implementation - for the 5th consecutive year - of the electronic submission of data, which simplifies the process and makes it easier for the recruits to present themselves to the NF.

From now on, all recruits submit electronically the declaration of data, as well as all the documents required in order to register their desire, which will be taken into account in the process of selection and allocation to the branches, arms and corps of the AF and their placement in units. In addition, the data will be used for the selection of Candidate Reserve Officers (CROs) and National Guardsmen who will be selected to serve in the Special Forces (Commando, Military Law Enforcement, OYK), in the Clubs - KAAS - STE, in the Technical Specialties and in the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF).

During these days, their health examination and the collection of their clothing is carried out, so that they can present themselves ready for their enlistment.

To avoid inconvenience, I draw the attention of the recruits to strictly observe the fixed days and times, which are indicated in the enlistment invitation note.

I also send them the message that military service in the National Army should be the highest honour for everyone.

I also send them the message that military service in the National Army should be the highest honour for everyone.

I send them the message that military service in the National Army should be the highest honour for everyone.

They should feel proud of the opportunity given to them to fulfill their military obligations and to offer their services to our semi-protected homeland.

They should also know that they will be joining a family in which they not only have something to offer, but also get the necessary skills that will help them in their lives and careers.

Let them make good use of it and make it a productive and beneficial new chapter in their lives.
