Developments following the Russian invasion of Ukraine are confronting European economies with several challenges which we collectively need to manage in order to minimise the impact on European citizens, Government Spokesperson Mr. Marios Pelicanos, referring to the second day of the Informal European Council in Versailles.
In a statement to the media, the Spokesman said that "on the second day of the Informal European Council, the leaders' discussion focused on strengthening the resilience and competitiveness of the European economy."
Despite the significant recovery steps taken over the last year and the positive outlook implied by the implementation of the Recovery and Resilience Fund programmes, developments following the Russian invasion of Ukraine find European economies facing several challenges.
