The President of Estonia will pay an official visit to Cyprus on 26-28 March, Government Spokesman Konstantinos Letibiotis said today. In a statement to journalists at the Presidential Palace, the Spokesman said: "The President of the Republic Mr Nikos Christodoulides will have a meeting tomorrow with his Estonian counterpart Mr Alar Karis, who will pay a three-day official visit to Cyprus.
President Karis will arrive in Cyprus today, accompanied by his wife, and will be at the Presidential Palace tomorrow morning.
After the official welcoming ceremony, President Christodoulides and his Estonian counterpart will have a private meeting.
This will be followed by extended talks between the delegations of the two countries, after which the two Presidents will make statements to the media.
The Estonian President will then proceed to the House of Representatives before returning to the Presidential Palace, where the President of the Republic will host an official lunch in his honour.
In the afternoon they will go to the Nicosia Town Hall, where the President of Estonia, accompanied by the President of the Republic, will tour the area along the ceasefire line.
President Karis will also visit the Cyprus Chamber of Commerce and Industry (CCCI), as well as the University of Cyprus, while in the evening he will attend a dinner hosted by the CCCI in his honour.
On 28 March the President of Estonia will visit the premises of the Committee on Missing Persons, the Cyprus Institute and the Centre for Land and Sea Safety and Port Security Training (CYCLOPS) before leaving Cyprus in the afternoon."
