"Acts of violence have no place in society," said today Government Spokesman Mr. Konstantinos Letibiotis, commenting on the attempted assassination of Slovak Prime Minister Robert Fico.
In a statement to journalists at his media briefing at the Presidential Palace, the Spokesman said: "The Government once again strongly condemns the heinous attack on the Slovak Prime Minister Mr. Robert Fico.
Such acts of violence have no place in our society and undermine democracy. Nothing can justify violence or such attacks.
Our thoughts, as both the President of the Republic and the Foreign Minister said in a telephone conversation with his Slovak counterpart, are with Prime Minister Fico and his family."
