During today's meeting of the Labour Advisory Body we developed a substantial and constructive dialogue with the social partners on the staffing of the labour market, on the regulation of labour relations and on the reconciliation of professional and personal life, while we discussed the better use of technology and the prospect of reaching an agreement on important issues that remain open.

We presented concrete data to substantiate the estimates of additional labour market openings, the potential of available domestic human resources and the needs for foreign workers for 2024, which we will discuss in more detail with the social partners in the coming days. We expect that the common understanding of the sizes of needs and potentials will help in the constructive cooperation of the social partners with the state to achieve the goals for the growth of the economy and the reduction of unemployment.

In the discussion of the Bill, prepared by the Ministry, for the implementation of the government's programmatic position to increase maternity leave from 18 to 22 weeks, the consensus of the social partners in this direction was established after reflection and exchange of views. If the Government's proposal is soon approved by Parliament, 5,000 working new mothers will benefit annually, who will be able to spend an extra month with their newborn children before returning to work.

On the prospect of relief in the actuarial reduction for early retirement, in line with the capabilities of the Social Insurance Fund, for which the political will of the Government is given, Members of Parliament were informed of the actuarial assessment of the proposals submitted and exchanged views on the next steps to be taken. As the social dialogue will soon be concluded, I would like to express my optimism for developments in the coming weeks that can lead to results that will positively affect thousands of our fellow citizens' pensioners.
