The social dialogue process on the adjustment of the National Minimum Wage was completed today and I would like to thank the members of the Labour Advisory Council for their constructive participation and their substantial contribution.

In particular, I would like to address the members of the Minimum Wage Adjustment Committee for their informed contribution to the development of the debate, and to express my satisfaction with the results of their work.

Although in this process the role of the social partners is advisory and supportive, since reaching an agreement is not a precondition for the renewal of the National Minimum Wage Decree, the seriousness and responsibility of the social partners was confirmed through the formation of a consensus in the direction of an increase in the minimum wage, as well as through the submission of well-founded proposals that significantly limited the range within which the amount of the increase is placed.

The Government will proceed and decide at tomorrow's Cabinet meeting, where the new Minimum Wage Decree will be issued.

The decree will be finalized through the co-evaluation of all the data so that it is balanced between the needs of society and the possibilities of the economy.

The social partners will be informed of the Government's final decisions before the Cabinet meeting, in the context of mutual respect for tripartite social cooperation.

After the conclusion of the meeting, I will make detailed statements both on the decree and in relation to the government's planning for the minimum wage with a five-year horizon until 2028.
