On Monday, December 18, 2023, the new e-Justice System of our country will go into pilot operation, while the final solution is expected in February 2024.
We have worked methodically and precisely, and always in consultation with the Bar Association and the Supreme Court, in order to deliver to both citizens and lawyers themselves an easy-to-use, simplified and efficient justice system, which will provide everything they need to carry out their work only digitally.
This has been a long-standing demand of the Bar Association, and one that has been heavily addressed, with timelines that we have previously missed as a state. The Deputy Ministry of Research, under the government of Nikos Christodoulides, implemented this request.
This is an important step towards the digital transformation of Cyprus. Problems are likely to arise, as any new transition is difficult.
For whatever arises we are here to provide whatever solution is required. I declare that we stand by both the Bar Association and the Judicial Authorities.
It is our goal to eliminate bureaucracy and equip the system of government with easy-to-use digital services.
