The Social Insurance Services inform that, according to the schedule for the increases in the contribution rates to the Social Insurance Fund, which was established in 2012 with a relevant amendment to the legislation, from 1 January 2024 the following will apply:
For employees:
22.8% of which 8.8% is paid by the employee, 8.8% by the employer and 5.2% by the Permanent Fund of the Republic.
For self-employed persons:
21.8% of which 16.6% is paid by the self-employed person and 5.2% by the Permanent Fund of the Republic,
For employees covered by a professional plan without the employee contributing to it:
22.8% of which 4.45% is paid by the employee, 13.15% by the employer and 5.2% by the Permanent Fund of the Republic,
For voluntarily insured domestic employees:
19.7% of which 15% is paid by the insured person himself and 4.7% by the Permanent Fund of the Republic,
For voluntarily insured abroad:
22.8% of which 17.6% is paid by the insured person himself and 5.2% by the Permanent Fund of the Republic.
In addition to the above increases, a relevant actuarial study prepared has shown that no additional increase in contributions to the Social Insurance Fund is required to cover the cost of extending the widowhood pension entitlement to men.
