"Today is the first step for the implementation of a significant project, which has been envisioned by the citizens of Paphos District for decades, and which is expected to give new momentum to the development prospects of the entire Paphos District.
We therefore announce the signing of the contract with the DeloitteTritonPaphosMarinaConsortium consortium, which will carry out the tender process for the identification of a strategic investor, who will undertake the development of the project using the Design - Built - Finance - Operate - Transfer method.
Undoubtedly, projects of this scope and dynamics, upgrade the offered tourist product of our country, and define the development course of tourism for the next decades.
The Pafos Marina, becomes from today, essentially, the fourth marina, which the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of the Republic of Cyprus has decided to build.
All these projects as a whole, together with the Marina of Larnaca and the Marina of St. Pafos, are now, in fact, the second largest marina in the world, after the Limassol Marina, Aghios Napa and Paralimni.
All these projects as a whole, together with the Marina of Larnaca and the Marina of St. Raphael, the first marina to be developed in our country, lay the foundations for the further development of nautical tourism and in particular yachting tourism, a form of tourism that is mainly characterised by high-income visitors with all that this implies."
