A Memorandum of Cooperation between the House of Representatives and the Hellenic Parliament was signed today. The Memorandum was signed by the Director General of the House of Representatives, Ms Tasoula Ieronymidou, and the Secretary General of the Hellenic Parliament, Mr Georgios Mylonakis, who is on a working visit to Cyprus, accompanied by a seven-member team of high-ranking officials of the Greek Parliament, at the invitation of Ms Ieronymidou.
The signed memorandum is expected to contribute to further strengthen the already close ties between the officials of the two parliaments and to promote new synergies and the exchange of know-how and best practices in areas of activity of common interest, with the ultimate aim of deepening and understanding the two constitutional systems, presidential and parliamentary, as well as the way they are implemented in practice, in the context of the constitutional framework applicable to each parliament.
