[PIO] Representation of the Government at the celebrations for the national anniversary of 25 March

The National Anniversary of March 25, 1821 will be celebrated this year with great pomp.

A festive Doxology will be held at the Holy Church of Panagia Faneromeni in Nicosia, at 10:00 in the morning, presided over by the Archbishop of Cyprus, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides, the Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr Athena Michaelides, the Speaker of the Parliament, Mrs Anita Demetriou and the Ambassador of Greece, Mr Ioannis Papameletiou. The solemn homily of the day will be delivered by H.M. Archbishop George, Archbishop of Cyprus.

At 11:00 a.m. the President of the Republic, accompanied by Ministers, the Speaker of the House of Representatives and the Ambassador of Greece, will receive the parade salute from a podium in front of the Greek Embassy building.

The parade will be attended by veteran warriors, students of Higher and Higher Educational Institutions, students of Secondary Schools, Scouts, Associations and Organizations.

In the other cities, municipalities and communities, the following representatives of the Government will be present to attend the Parade Ceremonies and to greet the parade.

1. In Limassol, the Minister of Justice and Public Order, Mr. Marios Hartsiotis, at the Holy Church of Agia Napa, at 10:00 a.m.
2. In Larnaca, the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Mr. Yannis Panagiotou, at the Church of Panagia Faneromeni, at 10:00 a.m.
3. In Paphos, the Minister of Energy, Trade and Industry, Mr. George Papanastasiou, at the Metropolitan Church of Saint Theodoros, at 10:00 a.m.
4. In Paralimni, the Deputy Minister to the President Mrs. Irene Piki, at the Metropolitan Church of St. George, at 9:00 a.m.
5. In Polis Chrysochous, the Government Spokesman Mr. Konstantinos Letibiotis, at the Holy Church of St. Andrew the Apostle, at 10:00 a.m.
6. In the Municipality of Latsion, the Director of the Office of the President, Mr. Charalambos Charalambous, at the Church of St. George, at 8:30 a.m.
7. In the Municipality of Sotiras, the Deputy Minister of Tourism Mr. Kostas Koumi, at the Holy Church of the Resurrection of the Saviour, at 9:00 a.m.
8. In the Municipality of Deryneia, the Deputy Minister for European Affairs, Mrs Marilena Raouna, at the Church of All Saints, at 8:30 a.m.
9. For the Morphou District, the Minister of Health Mr. Michael Damianos, at the Holy Church of Panagia Chryseleousis, Akaki, at 9:00 a.m.
10. In the Community of Kato Pyrgos Tilliria, the Deputy Government Spokesman Mr. Yiannis Antoniou, at the Cathedral of Saints Constantine and Helen, at 9:30 a.m.
11. In the Community of Evrychou, the Director General of the Ministry of Interior, Mr. Elikkos Ilias, at the Church of St. George, at 9:30 a.m.
12. For the Kouris-Xylourikos Complex, in Doros, on 24 March, the Director of the Press Office of the President, Mr. Victor Papadopoulos, at the Holy Church of Panagia Galatotrophousis, at 9:00 a.m.
13. Karavas-Lambousa Association, on 31 March, the Equality Commissioner Mrs. Josie Christodoulou, at the auditorium of the Laniteion High School in Limassol, at 4:30 p.m.
14. In the Municipality of Ayia Napa, on 23 March, the Minister of Finance, Mr Makis Keravnos, will attend an event at the port of Ayia Napa, at 4:30 p.m.
