During yesterday's (03.06.24) regular briefing of the international media of the United Nations (UN) by the Deputy Representative of the Secretary-General Mr. Farhan Haq, the Cypriot correspondent asked whether he knows when Ms. Holguín intends to brief the Secretary-General on the progress of her talks in Cyprus, as well as when she will present her report.
Mr. Haq noted that Ms. Holguín has been in contact with UN officials and will continue to brief the International Organization on her work.

Regarding the presentation of her report, he referred her to the President of the Security Council, Permanent Representative of South Korea, who will preside over the month of June and is aware of the month's schedule.
Later, the Anadolu correspondent noted that Ms. Holguín is Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General and asked for clarification on whether she should report to the Security Council or the Secretary-General, with An. Spokesperson responded that he believed that he first informs the Secretary-General and then the information is forwarded to the Security Council.
