During today's (06.02.24) regular briefing of the UN international media, the Representative of the Secretary-General, Mr. Stéphane Dujarric, referring to the Personal Envoy of the Secretary-General for Cyprus, Ms. María Ángela Holguín, noted that she has completed her first trip to Cyprus this weekend.
She added that Ms. Holguín had meetings with the Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot leaders, Mr. Nikos Christodoulides and Mr. Ersin Tatar respectively, as well as with a wide range of interlocutors from local stakeholders to civil society and representatives of the international community. Ms Holguín is currently holding meetings in Athens and will travel to Ankara on Thursday.
Finally, she said she also plans to travel to London in the near future.
