The Commissioner for Legislation has sent to the Council of Ministers its sixty-fifth (65th) quarterly report, in accordance with the Decision of the Council of Ministers No. 62.282, dated 29.6.2005. The Report constitutes a consolidated detailed list of the Commissioner's observations on the obligations, general responsibilities and actions arising from legislative acts and sanctioning laws of international agreements concerning various organs of the Executive Power (Council of Ministers, Ministers, etc.) for the period from 1 October 2021 to 31 December 2021.

The Report additionally presents the status of all the pending issues of the above mentioned institutions since the beginning of the Legislation Commissioner's mandate, i.e. since 1.9.2005.

In the present Report, in view of the reopening of the International Conventions Section of the Legislation Commissioner's Office, for the first time after 4 years, notes concerning the international obligations of the Republic of Cyprus stemming from international binding texts are presented.

The Report, through its observations, aims at advising the Executive in identifying the actions to be taken in order to implement the obligations provided for by a legislative act or a sanctioning law.

The Report has been posted on the Legislative Commissioner's Office website, under the "Legislation/Remarks" pillar.
