The Training Centres of the Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth are the largest adult training programme and are open to all residents of Cyprus, aged 15 years and above. The programme aims to meet the training needs of its members by offering a variety of subjects at low fees. More than 25000 people participate in the topics of the Training Centres annually.
The courses are offered in 25 meetings per year, once a week, lasting 90 minutes. Each person can attend various topics by completing an online registration form and selecting the topics they wish to attend. Adult Training Centres operate both in cities and in the countryside, during morning, afternoon and evening hours, in public school buildings or other suitable locations.
Tuition fees, after approval by the Council of Ministers, are set at €55 for both urban and rural areas, for all subjects. Members attending courses in both town and country and born before 31 October 1958 will pay half the tuition fee (€27.50). In communities with a population of less than 500 inhabitants, the tuition fee is set at €27.50 and for persons born before 31 October 1958 at €13.75. Tuition fees will only be paid electronically, through the JCC service.
Registration for the Training Centres will take place between 30 August and 24 September 2023 (until 12 midnight). Courses are expected to start in the first half of October 2023. The public is kindly requested to refer to the Training Centres' website for more information. Registrations for the various subjects offered will only be made online, via the website www.moec.gov.cy/epimorfotika.
Important instructions:
- The trainers for each subject will be determined after the end of the registration period. Thereafter, they will be contacted directly to arrange their first meeting.
- Payment of tuition fees can only be made electronically, through JCC - smart, using the registration code (JCCXXXXXXXXXX) for each course and only upon instruction from the instructor/instructor.
