[PIO] Publication of the final list of candidates for the recruitment of SYOP in the National Guard

The Ministry of Defence, within the framework of the Decision of the Council of Ministers, dated 24.08.2023, announces the final list of candidates on a first-come, first-served basis for the recruitment of soldiers under contract in the National Guard, to fill vacancies or vacancies from the total number of Contract Soldiers approved by the relevant Decisions of the Council of Ministers, dated 26.08.08.2015, 13.05.2016 and 25.05.2017, with a Contract for one year, which may be renewed, by decision of the Minister of Defence, for further successive periods of one (1) to three (3) years, as the Council of Ministers may decide, in accordance with the National Guard Law of 2011, as amended or replaced from time to time. It is noted that the maximum age up to which a person may serve as a private under contract is forty-two (42) years.

In the final list published, the date of birth of the candidates in cases of equal ranking has been taken into account, so that the youngest in age takes precedence, in accordance with the relevant decision of the Council of Ministers.

It is noted that, candidates who are National Guardsmen and have secured a suitable pass order but have not yet fulfilled their service obligation in the Force will be offered recruitment when they have fulfilled all the required conditions, as per the provisions of section (6)(3) of the National Guard Laws of 2011 to 2022, provided that the Final List remains in force.

It is emphasized that, a candidate who appears for the Health Examination without the necessary requirements specified in the Advertisement or at the Health Examination will not be considered qualified for service in the National Guard with a first or second class competency (I/1 or I/2) or will not appear for the Health Examination, will be removed from the Final List and his/her place will be offered to the next candidate on the Final List. Candidates will be invited by email and SMS to participate in the Health Examination before the signature of the Employment Contract.

The Final List is valid for one year from the date of its publication in the Official Gazette of the Republic.
