1. Work by a private company on Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue

The Office of the District Engineer, Larnaca Public Works Department, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that on Saturday 25/11/2023, between the hours of 07:00 - 08:00 in the morning on Grigoris Afxentiou Avenue in Larnaca, work will be carried out on an apartment building by a private company.

During the works, one lane of traffic, 50m long, will be closed in front of the building "DIPA" in the direction of Larnaca Fire Station and traffic will be directed to the adjacent lane, using STOP & GO.


2. Work by a private company on light controlled intersections and pedestrian crossings

The Office of the District Engineer, Larnaca Department of Public Works, Ministry of Transport, Communications and Works announces that since 06/09/2023 the replacement of obsolete signalling equipment by a private company in 33 Pelican-type light-controlled confluences and 12 pedestrian crossings in the wider Larnaca and Famagusta area with a new type of Extra Low Voltage (ELV) with LED lamps, Pedestrian Countdown system and touch-type pedestrian demand system started.

The equipment replacement work at each location will be completed, except in the unlikely event, within one day and during the work the light-controlled intersections and pedestrian crossings will remain out of service and temporary traffic lights will be installed if necessary.

During the week 27/11/2023 - 03/12/2023, work will be carried out at the following intersections/pedestrian crossings. Kranidiotis / Agriniou (Traffic Lights, Larnaca)

- Avenue. Γ. Kranidiotis / St. Timaya (Traffic Lights, Larnaca)

- Ave. N. & D. Pattihi / Kalymnos (Traffic Lights, Larnaca)

- N. & D. Pattihi Ave. Sp. Kyprianou (Pedestrian Crossing, Larnaca)

The Department of Public Works apologizes for the inevitable inconvenience that will be caused and invites the public to show the necessary understanding and compliance with the temporary road signs.
