[PIO] Public information on the contact details of the Personal Physician Chaplaincy Services on the weekends 30-31 March, 06-07, 13-14 April

The Health Insurance Organisation (HIO) informs the public about the contact details of the Personal Physician Chaplaincy Services (PMS), per province, during the weekends 30-31 March, 06-07, 13-14 April and the holiday 01 April 2024

The opening hours of the Chaplaincy Services (YE) on Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holidays are from 11:00 to 17:00.In addition, the call centre will start its operation 30 minutes before the opening of the YEs.


It is noted that the above contact details of the PI Chaplaincy Services will be periodically adjusted and posted on the website of the YEs as well as on the official social media accounts of the YEs.

It is recalled that PI Chaplaincy Services are provided to adults and children, who are beneficiaries of the GHS, on weekends and public holidays, and concern the provision of health care for emergency problems, such as the acute onset of alarming symptoms, sudden and severe pain, worsening symptoms of a serious chronic illness, high fever accompanied by other symptoms.

Beneficiaries should not contact PI on-call services for pre-existing medical conditions, issuing repeat prescriptions, issuing referrals to other GHS services, or in cases where they do not have time to visit their Personal Physician.

The Chaplaincy Services are open on weekends and Public Holidays from 11:00 to 17:00.

For their convenience, beneficiaries may contact the PI Chaplaincy Services in their province by telephone during the opening hours of the Chaplaincy Services. After an assessment of the health problem, an appointment is arranged within the day and hours of operation of the Chaplaincy Services. It is emphasized that, for the smooth service of beneficiaries, the services operate only by scheduled appointments.
