[PIO] Press release of the Parliamentary Committee on the Interior

The Parliamentary Committee on Home Affairs met today, Thursday, 24 February 2022, for the purpose of placing and taking a final decision on the following matters:

1. The Municipalities Act, 2020

(Fak. No. 23.01.061.032-2020)

The Communities (Amendment) Act, 2020.

(Fak. No. 23.01.061.031-2020)

The Provincial Colleges Act 2015.

(Fak. No. 23.01.056.148-2015)

The Committee decided to refer to the plenary session, dated 3 March 2022, the above bills, the purpose of which is to revise the current legislative framework governing local government.

2. The Budget of the Cyprus Broadcasting Authority of 2022 Law of 2021.

(File No. 23.01.062.196-2021)

The Committee took a position on the provisions of the budget and decided to forward it to the plenary session of the body.
