The Parliamentary Committee on Refugees, Internally Displaced Persons and Victims met today, Tuesday, 1 February 2022, and discussed the following issues:
1. Briefing the Committee on the forthcoming housing development within the Government Settlement of Athalassa Aglantzia and possible problems that may arise in relation to refugees residing in the refugee settlement under review.

The Committee, having been informed by a representative of the Planning and Zoning Department about the issuance of a planning permit to a refugee for the construction of four houses with a total area of 236 m2 within the Governmental Settlement of Athalassa, decided to consider the above matter.

In the context of the continuation of the discussion of the above matter, the Committee was informed by the Minister of Interior about the government's planning regarding the loss of use of the occupied properties of refugees.
