The Parliamentary Committee on Human Rights and Equal Opportunities for Men and Women met today, Monday, 28 February 2022 and discussed the issue in the presence of relevant government departments and stakeholders: "Children's right to equal learning opportunities - Early diagnosis of learning difficulties (dyslexia, attention deficit disorder, hyperactivity)". The matter was examined ex officio following a recommendation by Irene Charalambidou, George Koukoumas, Rita Theodorou Superman, Fotini Tsiridou and Alexandra Attalidou (File No. 23.04.039.041-2022). The Commission was informed about the problems and difficulties faced by both the parents of children with learning difficulties and the children themselves, as well as about the actions and measures taken by the competent state services to alleviate these problems.
