The Parliamentary Committee on Health met today, Thursday, 17 February 2022, and discussed the following matters:
1.The National e-Health Authority Budget Act of 2022.

The Committee, in the presence of representatives of the relevant departments, discussed the above bill, the purpose of which is to legally approve the budget of the National eHealth Authority for the year ending December 31, 2022. During the discussion, the Committee, after being briefed by the President of the Authority with regard to the projected expenditures and revenues of the budget, received answers to a series of relevant questions posed to the officials and decided to refer the bill to the full House.
2. The Cyprus Addiction Treatment Authority Budget Law of 2022

The Committee, in the presence of representatives of the relevant departments, discussed the above bill, the purpose of which is to legally approve the budget of the Cyprus Addiction Treatment Authority for the year ending 31 December 2022. In the course of the discussion, the Committee, having been briefed by the Chairman of the Authority regarding the individual items included in the said budget, received answers to a number of relevant questions put to them and decided to refer the Bill to the full House.
3. The Medically Assisted Reproduction Council Budget Act of 2022.

The Committee, in the presence of representatives of the appropriate agencies, discussed the above bill, the purpose of which is to adopt by law the budget of the Council on Medically Assisted Reproduction for the year ending December 31, 2022. During the discussion, the Committee, after being briefed by the Chairperson of the Council regarding the individual line items included in said budget, received responses to a series of related questions posed to the commissioners and decided to submit the bill to the full House.
4.The State Health Services Agency Budget Act of 2022.

No amendments were submitted at the consultation stage to the bill, which, following the decision of the Committee, taken at its meeting dated February 10, 2022, will be referred to the full House on February 24, 2022.
5.The Health Insurance Agency Budget Act of 2022.

During the amendment consultation stage, amendments were submitted by Committee Member Rep. Marinos Sizopoulos, on behalf of the Social Democrats Movement of the EPP, five amendments to the bill, which, following the decision of the Committee, taken at its meeting of 10 February 2022, will be referred to the plenary session of the House on 24 February 2022.
6.The Private Hospitals (Establishment and Operation Control) (Amendment) Act, 2021.

No amendments were submitted during the consultation stage on amendments to the Bill, which, following a decision of the Committee taken at its meeting on 10 February 2022, will be laid before the full House on 24 February 2022.
