The Ad Hoc Parliamentary Committee for the Study of the Demographic Problem met today, Tuesday, February 15, 2022 and continued its discussion on the topic entitled "Demographic problem - causes, aspects and consequences. Analysis of the evolution of the country's population in relation to the three demographic components: infertility, mortality, migration flows", in the presence of representatives of the competent services. In the context of the discussion, the Commission examined the impact of large migratory flows on the demographic problem, highlighting the need to study and possibly amend the existing legislative framework relating to immigration policy. The Commission asked the relevant questions and requested the responsible parties to send written information. The debate will continue at a later stage.
