[PIO] Postal Services Department announcement on mobile phone messaging fraud

The Department of Postal Services informs the public that a new attempt to defraud the public by sending messages to mobile phones using the name of the Cyprus Post Office has been observed, as shown in the photo below, for lack of address and incorrect postal codeː

The points that the public should be aware of to ascertain that the communication below does NOT come from Cyprus Postal Services are as follows:


[*]Mobile messages do not refer to the official website of the Department www.cypruspost.post but to the link httpsː/tinyurlcom or another website with a possible Cyprus Post logo. [*]Cyprus Post will not return an item or deliver an item because duties/taxes have not been paid. [*]Payments are not directed to the JCCSmart online payment platform, but to another email address.
