[PIO] Participation of the Minister of Labour and Social Insurance in the Joint Council of EU Finance and Employment Ministers (ECO

The Minister of Labour and Social Insurance, Mr. Yiannis Panayiotou participated in the joint meeting of the Council of Finance and Employment Ministers (EPSCO - ECOFIN) of the European Union (EU), where economic and social policy issues were discussed, while he also participated in a meeting with his counterparts, Employment Ministers, to discuss the adequacy of wages in the context of the growing economy of the EU Member States.

Labour Minister Panagiotou said in a statement.

I referred to examples of people-centred policies implemented by our Government in line with the needs of society and the potential of the economy, and stressed the importance of monitoring and evaluating the actual results of all national and European policies.
