Health Minister Michael Hadjipandela has travelled to Brussels to attend the Council of Health Ministers of the European Union, which will take place tomorrow, Tuesday, 29 March 2022.
During the meeting, among other things, the health impact of Russia's invasion of Ukraine, the strengthening and cooperation of Member States on rare diseases, the strategy on vaccination and the supply of vaccines against COVID-19 and the adoption of a European regulation on cross-border health threats will be discussed.
On Thursday, the Minister of Health will travel to Athens for the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding between the Medical and Public Health Services of the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Cyprus and the National Public Health Organisation of Greece, on issues of surveillance and control of infectious diseases, as well as cooperation in the design of strategic plans for infectious diseases, with particular emphasis on antimicrobial resistance and hospital-acquired infections.
