Defence Minister Vassilis Palmas participated in the "Schuman Security and Defence Forum 2024", which took place on 28 and 29 May 2024 in Brussels.
In addition to the Member States of the European Union (EU), the Forum was attended by representatives from more than 60 partner countries, organisations and think tanks, and distinguished academics.
The event was opened by the High Representative of the EU for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borell, noting that the aim of the Forum is to exchange views on common challenges and discuss ways to strengthen partnerships for better cooperation to create and consolidate conditions of peace and security.
On the sidelines of the Forum, the Minister held a meeting with Egyptian Deputy Minister of Defence Major General Khaled Mugawer.
