The Assistant Commissioner and Vice-Chairman of the ERGP, Mr Petros Galidis and the Commissioner for Telecommunications and Post, Mr Michalis Nikolaou, participated in the 26th Plenary Session of the ERGP, held in Vienna, on 21 June 2024.
The Plenary discussed and approved, for public consultation, the draft ERGP Work Programme 2025, which was prepared taking into account the three strategic pillars of the ERGP Medium Term Strategy 2023-2025. The draft will be submitted for public consultation from 5 July to 4 October 2024.
The Plenary also adopted the document "ERGP PL I (24) 11 - ERGP Report on Access to Infrastructure for Parcel Delivery", which will be made public on website of the ERGP.
The Plenary confirmed Mr Dan Sjöblom, Director General of the Swedish Postal and Telecommunications Authority (PTS), as Chairman of the ERGP also for 2025. It also confirmed Mr Petros Galidis, Assistant Commissioner for Communications, as ERGP Vice-Chairman for 2025.
The day before the Plenary, on 20 June, the ERGP held a public workshop on "Vulnerable users in the postal world: Who? What needs? What next?" The workshop aimed to examine and discuss who the vulnerable users of postal services are, what their requirements/needs are and how these will continue to be served, taking into account the changes taking place in the postal services sector. The workshop looked in depth at the key issues related to postal services from the perspective of potential vulnerable users, operators and policy makers. The results will feed into the work of the Report on the needs of postal services for vulnerable users, to be adopted at the 27th ERGP Plenary.

The ERGP advises and assists the European Commission in the development of the internal market for postal services and the uniform application of the Regulatory Framework in all Member States.
