Mr.Kyriakos Hatzigiannis, MP, Vice President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE). OSCE) and Vice-Chairman of the Organisation's Ad Hoc Committee on Migration, leaves on Sunday 19 May for Turkey, to participate in a Commission visit to Ankara, Adana and Gaziantep.
During their stay in Turkey, members of the delegation will have separate meetings with the Head for Migration Management, as well as with representatives of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs, Health, Education and the Ministry of Labour and Social Security. They will also meet with the Chair of the Disaster and Emergency Management Committee and the Turkish delegation to the C.C. The members of the delegation will also visit temporary accommodation centres in Adana and Gaziantep where they will have meetings with representatives of relevant international organisations such as UNHCR, IOM, and UNICEF, a representative of the World Food Programme WFP, as well as with representatives of the Turkish Coast Guard.
In Gaziantep, the members of the delegation will also meet with the governor and the mayor of the city and will be briefed by non-governmental organizations on the work being carried out in the region.
