[PIO] Participation of Members of Parliament in OSCE CSO election observation mission

MPs Ms Irini Charalambidou and Mr Kyriakos Hatzigiannis, Vice-Presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE PA), are travelling to Warsaw to participate in an observer mission to monitor the parliamentary elections to be held on 15 October 2023.

The mission includes more than 100 parliamentarians from more than 25 OSCE participating States, who will assess the elections against the commitments arising from the 1990 OSCE Copenhagen Document.

As part of the mission, participating parliamentarians will hold separate meetings with representatives of the country's electoral authorities, media and civil society, as well as with members of the OSCE Office for Democratic Institutions and Human Rights (ODIHR) mission.

On election day, Cypriot MPs will travel to polling stations in Warsaw to observe the electoral process on the spot.
