The Ministry of Energy, Trade and Industry, in cooperation with the Cyprus Trade Centre in Beijing, participated with a state pavilion at the FHC Shanghai 2023 International Food and Beverage Exhibition and the PROWINE Shanghai 2023 International Wine and Spirits Exhibition, which were held at the same venue in Shanghai between 8 and 10 November 2023.
The Cypriot participation, which was formed in the context of efforts to strengthen the extroversion of Cypriot enterprises and the penetration of Cypriot products in foreign markets, was staffed by 9 companies from Cyprus operating in various product sectors such as cheese and halloumi, juices, salt, wine, coumadaria, as well as alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
The two exhibitions are considered a benchmark for professionals in the sector, creating the ideal environment for marketing products internationally and, in particular, in the Chinese market. This year's FHC Shanghai International Food and Beverage Fair, which attracted around 100,000 visitors, was attended by over 2,500 exhibitors from 30 countries, while the PROWINE Shanghai International Wine and Spirits Fair attracted around 660 exhibitors from 30 countries, attracting around 30.000 visitors.
