MPs Irini Charalambidou (leader), Kyriakos Hatzigiannis, both Vice-Presidents of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OCSEE), and the President of the Parliamentary Assembly of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OCSE).Mr. Christos Senekis, member of the Cypriot delegation, will participate in the work of the 23rd Winter Meeting of the Assembly, which will take place on 22 and 23 February 2024 in Vienna.
During the Meeting, both separate and joint sessions of the three Committees of the Convention - the Committee on Political Affairs and Security, the Committee on Economic Affairs, Science, Technology and the Environment and the Committee on Democracy, Human Rights and Humanitarian Affairs - will be held. The work of the three Committees will focus, respectively, on the war in Ukraine and the role of the OSCE in the current crisis, economic and environmental security issues, artificial intelligence and its impact on security, and safeguarding the rights of dissidents and political prisoners. During the session, matters relating to past and future activities, as well as matters relating to the functioning of the Assembly, will be considered.
Finally, Mr Hatzigiannis will participate in a session of the Ad Hoc Committee on Migration, of which he is Vice-Chairman.
