The Members of Parliament, Mr George Karoullas, Mr George Koukumas, Mr Zacharias Koulias, Mr. Alexandra Attalidou are going to Paris tomorrow to participate in the 20th Interparliamentary Conference on the Common Foreign and Security Policy (CFSP) and the Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP). The Conference will take place on 24 and 25 February 2022, as part of the parliamentary dimension of the current six-month French Presidency of the Council of the European Union (EU). preparation of the Union to face the conflicts and crises of the future, the form that the Union's strategic autonomy should take in the light of international challenges and the EU's action in support of Ukraine's sovereignty and territorial integrity. There will also be an exchange of views with the Vice-President of the European Commission and High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Mr. Josep Borrell, on the priorities in the areas of the CFSP and CSDP.EU (GroupMed), during which the geopolitical tensions and rearrangements in the Mediterranean region will be discussed.
