[PIO] Parliament's delegation will participate in an enlarged session and in a mission of the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly to the Middle East

MPs Andreas Pasiourtidis and Rita Theodorou Superman, head and member, respectively, of the Cypriot delegation to the Mediterranean Parliamentary Assembly (MPA), will travel to Amman to participate in an enlarged meeting of the Assembly's Bureau on Monday 4 September 2023.

The agenda of the Bureau meeting included, following a decision by the President of the JPA, Mr. Enaam Mayara, a discussion on the situation in Cyprus on the occasion of the recent incidents in Pyla, following the letter-dialogue sent by the Speaker of the House of Representatives on this issue to the Speakers of Parliaments of a large number of countries and international and regional parliamentary organizations.

Subsequently, Ms Superman will participate in the 4th CSM Mission to the Middle East, namely to Amman, Ramallah and Jerusalem, between 4 and 7 September 2023. The delegation will be accompanied by the Senior Official for International Relations of the Parliament, Ms. Ioanna Sygrassitis.
