The Physical Education Inspectorate of the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports and Youth (MPEAN) announces the completion of the 2021-2022 Boys' and Girls' Handball Pancyprian Games, High School and TESEK.
The games were held with complete success and in compliance with the sanitary measures, due to the pandemic. The success was due to the sportsmanship and fair play of the athletes throughout the games. Congratulations are therefore due to all the athletes who competed, as well as to all those who contributed to the realization of these games.
The Pancyprian Handball Games were held in three phases:
- Preliminary matches (boys)
- Semi-final matches (boys and girls)
- Final ranking matches (1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th place)
The matches took place on 1/02/2022, 2/02/2022 and 4/02/2022 at the Stadium "Tassos Papadopoulos - Eleftheria", as well as in the indoor sports hall of the Lyceum of Latsia.

The teams of Saint George Larnaca High School and Kykkos High School A' qualified for the Girls' final. The athletes of both teams made a great effort to win and after a nice match, the team of Agios Georgios Larnaca High School became the Champion with a score of 25-12.
In the Boys' final, the teams that qualified from the Pre- and Semi-finals were the Ethnomartyr Kyprianou Strovolos High School and Kykkos A΄ High School. The match was exciting and was conducted with great passion and sportsmanship. In the end, the team of Kykkos Lyceum A' managed to celebrate the victory and the conquest of the 1st place of the Pancyprian Handball Championship with a score of 30 - 25.
A big bravo goes to the winning teams of Boys and Girls, but also to all the children who participated and competed, offering a beautiful spectacle and many emotions.

The Physical Education Inspectorate of the Ministry of Physical Education owes warm thanks to all those who were important helpers in the realization of this year's games. To the athletes' chaperones, Physical Education teachers and those who were assigned duties, the COA, the School Ephorate and the Principal of Latsia High School, for the kind concession of their sports facilities, as well as to the referees, members of the Handball Referees Association of the COA, for their voluntary and impeccable contribution during the conduct of the games.
