The Minister of Health, Dr. Popi Kanari, met today with the Mayor of Pafos, Mr. Faidon Faidonos. The meeting focused on the problems faced by the Hospital and the solutions being implemented to solve them.
The Mayor of Paphos referred to the staffing problems faced by the Paphos General Hospital and the need for building upgrades.
The Minister informed Mr. Faidonos about the results of a meeting held yesterday at the Paphos General Hospital, in the presence of the leadership of the OCYPY. During the meeting, as Dr Kanari noted, the need to accelerate the procedures for the overall upgrading of the services and infrastructure of the Hospital was highlighted.
Among the actions undertaken on behalf of OKYPY are the upgrade of the Paphos CICU, the delivery, in November, of the Dialysis Unit and the start of the building upgrade of the Hospital, for which a contract has been signed.
