The Ministry of Education, Sports and Youth (MESY) organizes the Pancyprian Festival "Intercultural Embrace: We are the same. We are all different", which will take place on Thursday, 18 April 2024, at the Multipurpose Hall of the Pera Chorio and Nisou Regional High School, from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. The event is under the auspices of the Honourable Minister of Education, Sports and Youth, Dr. Athena Michaelides.
In the framework of this event, the award ceremony of the students who excelled in the 3rd Pancyprian competition "Xenios Zeus - The world embraces me, I find a future for myself" will take place and projects/actions will be presented, which were implemented in the context of the month of intercultural actions, as well as projects using the project method, which were developed in the context of the mathematics lesson for students with an immigrant biography.
It is noted that this festival is part of the intercultural actions implemented by the Department of Immigrant Biography of the Directorate of Secondary General Education of the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Cyprus in order to promote equal opportunities for access and success in education, including the smooth integration of children with an immigrant background in the educational context and, by extension, in Cypriot society.
