The Ministry of Health continues its efforts to increase vaccination coverage of the population against COVID-19 and in particular to increase booster dose vaccinations, given its importance in boosting the immunity of groups of the population that are more prone to serious disease and hospitalization.
Following an agreement between the Minister of Health Mr. Michalis Hatzipandela and the Commissioner for the Development of Mountain Communities Mr. Kostas Hambiaouris, vaccination centres will operate in the communities of Paleochori and Trimiklini.
Specifically:
➥ On Saturday 5 February 2022, a vaccination point will operate at the Paleochori Health Centre. Time. [*]Individuals aged 12 years and older who have received the 1st dose of vaccine Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech and the period required for the 2nd dose (Moderna 4 weeks and Pfizer 3 weeks) has elapsed. ➥ On Sunday, February 6, 2022, a vaccination center will be open at the Mountain Community Development Commissioner's office in Trimiklini to serve:
- Childrenages 5-11 years old. [*]Individuals aged 12 years and older who have not yet been vaccinated against COVID-19 (administration of 1st dose). [*]Individuals 12 years of age and older who have received the 1st dose of vaccine Moderna or Pfizer/BioNTech and the period required for the 2nd dose (Moderna 4 weeks and Pfizer 3 weeks) has elapsed. [*]With regard to the booster/3rd dose vaccination, persons aged 18 years and older will be served, provided that a period of (5) months has elapsed since their 2nd dose vaccination. [*]Individuals who have received the Johnson&Johnson single dose vaccine will be eligible to receive a booster dose of mRNA technology vaccine (Moderna and Pfizer/Biontech).
As a reminder, all persons must necessarily present proof of identification (identity card, passport, alien registration card, etc.) and the vaccination card if they will receive the second or third dose.
It is reminded that for the vaccination of children aged 5-11 years, the consent form signed by both parents for the 1st dose and proof of identification of parent and child (birth certificate, identity card, passport, Alien Registration Card, etc.) must be presented.
