The Ministry of Defence announces that as of 15 April, at 12:00, the platform for the electronic submission of the 2024 ESSO conscript selection data will go live.
The platform will remain operational until 12:00 on 2 May 2024 and declarations will be submitted via the Government Portal. Access to the Government Portal requires only the creation of a profile and not identification.
2024 ESSO recruits are invited to submit the declaration of data, as well as the relevant supporting documents required in order to register their desire to implement the process of selection and allocation to the Branches, Arms and Corps of the National Guard, their assignment to Units, as well as the selection of Candidate Reserve Officers (CROs) and National Guardsmen selected to serve in the Special Forces (Commando, Military Police, National Guard), in the Clubs-CAF-STE, in the Technical Specialities and in the Military Music of the National Guard (SMEF).
For the timely and better preparation of the conscripts and for their own convenience and benefit, they are requested to ensure that the following documents are provided in advance in electronic form, so that they are ready for registration at the beginning of the procedure. Each attached document must have a maximum size of 500KB/0,5MB and in no case may the total size of the attached documents exceed 10MB.
Mandatory supporting documents: Identity Card (Front and Back)
Optional documents:
a. Certificates in case the recruit belongs to one or more grading categories. For the grading categories click εδώ.
β. Confirmation of bank account (IBAN). The account should be in the name of the enlistee. A bank account to a minor is established by the banking institutions if the enlistee presents the enlistment invitation note. In the event that the bank account details are not submitted on the online platform, thenthese should be submitted on the day of presentation for health examination and allocation of materials and clothing and footwear, which takes place before enlistment.
c. A valid driving licence.
d. In the event that you declare a wish to apply for a post in Technical Specialities, Clubs-CAF-STE, you will be required to submit a corresponding certificate of qualification from the relevant secondary school. For more information click here.
e. Certificate of vaccination status and blood group. In case if not submitted on the online platform, then it will have to be submitted on the day of presentation for health examination and distribution of materials and clothing and footwear which is done before the classification.
Those recruits who do not proceed with the submission of the data declaration within the stipulated period will not be eligible to claim for Candidate Reserve Officers, Special Forces, Clubs-CAF-STE or Technical Specialties, and will be posted to Units based solely on the service needs of the National Guard.
Those who submit the declaration of data through the electronic platform will receive, as a proof, a copy of the declaration in their e-mail, in which the random lot number will be printed on the basis of a special algorithm by the computer system. In addition, the "Classification Invitation Note" will also be sent to their e-mail, which will include information on the health examination and allocation of materials and items of clothing and footwear, which will be carried out prior to classification.
It is brought to the attention of the conscripts that the data submitted through the platform concerning the grading categories, selection preferences and the conscripts' garrison of preference may be modified at the request of the conscript, which is submitted by In any case, the change can be made only once (1) for each enlisted person.
It is noted that the enlistment of enlisted persons will take place from 8 to 12 July 2024.
