The State Ministry of Culture, Department of Contemporary Culture, announces that the preliminary list of works nominated for the State Literature Prizes for 2023 has been posted on website of the Ministry of State.
In case any work is not identified in the list, while it has been published in the year 2023 and deposited at the Cyprus Library, or if there is a disagreement about its classification in a specific category, it is possible to submit a written objection. All objections should be submitted by the authors or illustrators themselves and should be addressed to the Director of the Department of Contemporary Culture, to the attention of Ioanna Eliades. Objections may be submitted either by post to the Department of Contemporary Culture, Iphigenia 27, 2007 Strovolos, or by fax to 22809872, or by email to jeliades@culture.moec.gov.cy.
The objection period runs from 12 March to 9 April. All objections received will be considered and responded to.
It is important to note that works must fall within the categories of the National Literature Awards. Following the objection period and the completion of their examination, the list will be announced in a finalised form and handed over to the members of the State Literature Prize Jury for consideration. After the list has been finalized, no objections will be accepted for inclusion of other works.
